Question : Problem: Cruzer U3 freezes computer

Cruzer U3 thumbdrive worked fine on XP laptop, all of a sudden locks up computer when I plug it in.  No problem on my PC.  Other smaller thumdrive works fine on laptop.

Hold the shift key down when you plug in the cruzer.  If that works, then the cruzer software is the cause of your trouble.  (The shift key stops the cruzer software on the USB stick from autorunning).  You don't really need the software to run.  In fact, removing it will give you a little more storage space on the cruzer stick.  The Cruzer Software tries to copy everything off the stick into your profile on the C: drive.  It's not really necessary for a memory stick to work.
