Question : Problem: **Urgent ** Configure Cisco 1720 Router with a T1
|
|
I have a new T1 line and a new Cisco 1720 Router. I have spent 6 hours trying to get this thing working and I know that I am missing something stupid.
If I spell out the scenario, and all of it's details, can someone provide me the necessary script??
Here goes:
T1 provider gave me the following:
PVC 1 (Data PVC) Router's Public IP Address: xxx.xxx.252.158 Router's Public Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Router's Default Gateway: xxx.xxx.252.1 Usable Public IP Address Range: xxx.xxx.251.217 - xxx.xxx.251.222 Usable Public IP Address Range subnet mask: 255.255.255.248 Router's Private IP address: xxx.xxx.251.217 Router's Private subnet mask: 255.255.255.248 Usable Private IP Address Range xxx.xxx.251.218 - xxx.xxx.251.222 Router DCLI: 16 Primary DNS Server: xxx.xxx.0.10 Secondary DNS Server: xxx.xxx.215.254
My network is currently set up as follows:
Server 1 is a dedicated Microsoft ISA server that is completely configured as the firewall and handles all traffic already. It's IP is xxx.xxx.1.1
For now, all I want to happen is for the T1 to hit my cisco router and be sent straight through to the ISA server.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Do the indicators change if you turn off the keepalives? Do you ger Serial 0 up line protocol up? Does DLCI=16 change status to ACTIVE?
Sounds like a call to the telco provider....
