Question : Problem: sata motherboard with two ide hard drives connected using adaptors, master or slaves settings?
I have new computer with a sata motherboard with one ide plug which is used for cd rom, I have connected both sata cables to two ide pin hard drives connected using bi directional adaptors, do I still use master or slaves settings on the two ide hard drives? I need to use these drives as they have all info on them, also do I have to change the bios setting for the ide hard drives to be found. When these two drives where in the broken computer one was master and the slave was a cloned by casper xp

If you use adapters as in picture attached, then there is no need to jumper master/slave since each has its own cable.
