hi there

well pos devices try to read the cards info and can activate or send a signal to the opening or closing of the doors.

well u need not work with embedded systems until and unless u want to make a pos of our own. i.e develop software using c#. u can connect the pos to your windows system and collect the info from the device i.e like when u go to a stores to buy some groceries or other items u see the stores clerk putting the product in front of a scanner and the scanner(read POS) read the the bar code and the system identifies the product.

in the same manner the moment a employee puts the card in the pos device or the card reader the info will do the attendance.
