Question : Problem: Creating Multiple RAID Arrays

I'm hoping someone can answer a question for me. I have a Dell 2650 with a RAID Controller installed. I have one array setup on 3, 300gb drives. The array is only using about half of the disk space. Is it possible to create a second RAID 5 Array using the unused space on the 3 drives that have the current RAID 5 setup?

Answer : Problem: Creating Multiple RAID Arrays

As I understand from your question that you are having 3 HD's configured as RAID 5, in order to create a second RAID 5 array you need to install another additional hard disks.
so in your case it's not doable. This is for hardware RAID.
There is also software RAID, where you can create a RAID array of disks which I strongly disagree with these scenarios.
  Thanks
