Question : Problem: Exchange 2003 and SharePoint 2003 Maintenance

Can anyonme provide me with some tricks of the trade of conducting maintenance of my Exchange 2003 and SharePoint 2003 w/  associated database servers. I just returned from a 14 month deployment and wasn't really ablr to do much in the fear of crashing my systems. I just want to know if there is possibly some checklist that I can use to increase overall performance of my serv

As far as exchange is considered look for the following:-
1.Online maintenance even logs that tells you about the free space availability
2.Calculate the current storage and put 110% of free space to do an offline defrag.
3.Observe for any 1018 database errors in the event log,bcause this could be critical and might cause crashes
