Question : Problem: How to import songs from iPOD to desktop iTunes library?

The original iTunes library (program) is erased but the iPOD device still has the songs.
When I installed iTunes again and connect the iPOD, it suggest that the iPOD is synched with another library (which is on the old program), and it can only synch with one library at a time. If I choose to synch with the current library, it will erase everything on the device and replace with the library on my computer which is empty.
Q#1. Any way to 'merge' the contents of pc and iPOD?
Q#2. If no way to merge, then any way to import the contents from the iPOD to desktop library so I can edit it and synch it back to the iPOD?
Thanks a lot.

Answer : Problem: How to import songs from iPOD to desktop iTunes library?

Copy the files from the ipod_Control folder to your hard drive
The songs will be random names, but they will show up properly within itunes when you import them.

You may need to boot into disk mode to access it (hold down select and play after reset)
