Question : Problem: eSATA port not working
I've got an eSATA enclosure that cannot be seen by WinXP SP3 on one machine. I can plug it into other machines and it is seen normally. Here are the specs for the PC in question...
Asus P5WDG2 WS Pro
BIOS Version 0905(latest)
I've tried the onboard eSATA port, and also an eSATA plate with it's cable plugged into one of the mobo SATA ports. SATA is running in Standard IDE mode. I can't find a specific BIOS switch to activate the onboard eSATA port, so I assume it's always hot.
Thanks for any assistance.
Answer : Problem: eSATA port not working
Yep...both the Intel and Marvel SATA controllers were enabled. I gave up and replaced the board. Everything works on the new one.
