Question : Problem: Failed Raid5 Array
|
|
Help!
Snap Appliance 4400 has a failed RAID array. The status of the 4 drives are at "ok". I have rebooted, restarted, and even killed the power to the unit hoping it would resync, and no luck. Is there anyway to run a utility (server is running RedHat Linux) to repair the array without losing the data!
* Note the device is already on the NT domain. Drive is visible with a folder called appledouble that is about 500mb in size

Boot the server and enter the RAID controllers setup and then choose rebuild array. That should be all you have to do.
Check the manual of your RAID controller to see how it's done exactly.
