Question : Problem: ASUS l3800 no boot - caps scroll num lock blink together

Hello people, I'm nanoweb from italy!
My notebook is probably dead, can u help me?
This is the problem;when i press the on button nothing appears on the screen,caps scroll num lock blink together
every second, i can hear the same noise when an hard disk is booting uo, like a "click"..
I tried to change cpu,nothing..
I tried to change HD,nothing..
I tried with memory,nothing again..
nothing with reset hardware button, so is my mobo broken forever?
Help me please in deciding this, doing another tests!!
For example, where id CMOS battery in Asus l3800? (P4 2.0ghz Hd ibm 40gb...)

I think that's bad memory. You said you "tried with" the memory. exactly what was it you "tried"? Sometimes it helps by removing all but one memory module, and then trying that module in the different slots. Sometimes you can also try reseating the RAM.
