Question : Problem: Fingerprint scanner won't work after running sysprep.
We are configuring a new Dell Latitude D430 laptop to use the included fingerprint scanner.
It has been set up fine and confirmed as working.
We then ran sysprep and created an image to deploy to other laptops (same model).
After imaging the laptop, the fingerprint scanner no longer functions. The software to login via fingerprint displays, and it appears to be working through authentication. However after a few seconds a message pops up stating 'Unknown error'.
Has anyone else had this issue and resolve it?
Laptop is using Windows XP SP3. All updates have been applied. All was confirmed as working fine before the sysprep.
Sysprep works fine on other laptops and PCs.
Answer : Problem: Fingerprint scanner won't work after running sysprep.
