Question : Problem: Set overwriteable media to scratch media automaticly

We like to rotate our tapes so they get used for all of our backups so one tape never gets stuck only getting weekly backups. When we puts the tapes back into our libary and run an inventory scan on them they show up as overwriteable, but keep the media set they were a part of. Is there a way to have any overwriteable tape be set back to scratch media?

No, not automatically.  They stay in the Media Set to indicate the backup job that allocated the tape.  However, they will be used.

Scratch media indicates media that has no useful data, as opposed to overwritable data.

You can drag-and-drop media into the Scratch media group.
