Question : Problem: adjusting plasma tv as computer monitor resolution / screen scaling
I have a plasma tv with hdmi input. i bought a ATI pci express DVI/VGA output video card and have a 10 foot DVI to HDMI cable. I can get a nice picture on the screen at 800x600. However the whole screen image is about 1/3 inch off the screen (i cannot see the 'X' when i maximize the screen). This is very annoying and i have tried different resolution settings and still have no luck. I have no adjustments on the plasma screen at all for horizonal and vertiacal scaling. I also am interested in getting my resolution set for widescreen, but cannot find the correct setting in the display properties. Thank you for reading my questions, and your time. I award 500 points to help resolving my problem.

I suspect the plasma tv needs a custom resolution. You can get PowerStrip software and set one up.
