Question : Problem: Convert cda files to play on an ipod

I have seven cds that are  cda instruction files for learning a language that someone would like put on an ipod.  Do these files have to be converted and if so what format and what is the easiest method?  After they are converted, can Itunes put them on the ipod?

Answer : Problem: Convert cda files to play on an ipod

The cda file extension is a CD Audio file.  If you insert the disc into your computer with iTunes running it should prompt you to "extract" or "rip" the audio into iTunes.
