Question : Problem: Use XP and mult USB drives to all kids to use my laptop

I want to allow the kids and wife to use my laptop. But I want to totally isolate me from them and them from each other. I was thinking of connecting 2 USB drives, each with XP and bootable. When they want to use, they just select the drive to boot from and go. Is that possible?
