Question : Problem: San Technology
I am wanting to get opinions- pros & cons so to speak on the differences between ISCSI San solutions vs Fiber Channel solutions. I am looking to implement a san solution (lefthand, EMC, or HP Storage array attached to a HP Proliant DL380 G5) at two locations that will need to sync changed data across the wan as well as have file access available at all times to users at both locations. The usage is not transactional based but manipulation of large graphic and engineering files.
Answer : Problem: San Technology
I don't think there is a rule.
I tend to get as much as I can afford but the cost increases sharply the more you get.
Are you planning on using 2 controllers in your MSA? From what I see I think you will only have a single controller.
