Question : Problem: Linksys WAP4400N is not connecting to DHCP server
|
|
We have recently purchased Linksys WAP4400N and connected it to a wired HP 3rd Layer switch. Gave the AP a static IP Address and Configured the gateway. Used all the default setting to test the connection, but the AP does not allow any of the laptops to pick up an IP address from the DHCP Server.
After contacting Linksys, there engineer drew a conclusion that the device was faulty, so i got it replaced by another one. Unfortunately, i still have the same problem.
Has anyone came across such a problem with linksys access point? Please post on this thread if you need answers to specific questions.
Thankyou

After checking the 3com switch security I found out even though the switch interface tells me that there is no security setup but if you try to set security on the port in one of the followup screens it tells you that it has mac address securiy in place.
I disabled this security and it has resolved the problem.
