It all depends on what your doing with your PC. If it's a gaming PC speed should be a priority once you have atleast 2gig.
Graphics/Animation you probably care more about the amount of memory you have however speed is still an issue.
Personally I would go for the 6gig as I can't think of anything that you'd need 8gig for.
But what exactly are you going to be using the PC for?
