Question : Problem: Blackberry upgrade

Hey folks.
1. Two questions.  In order to upgrade blackberry 3.6 to 4.1 how long does it take aprox?  I know that i need to update few things on the pc like Java version...

2.  When I hit upgrade it will just upgrade me to the latest version or i have to specify which one? (yes i know, a stupid question)
For those of you that have went through this can you please provide a list of things that went wrong? if anything did.

How do I upgrade the OS on my device? Follow these instructions:
1. Download and install to PC the latest version of Desktop Manager from here: ( http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads )
2. Download the new OS you want and install it to the PC
3. Open Desktop Manager and do a complete backup of your current device.
4. Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
5. Plug in BB and open Desktop Manager
6. Select Application Loader
7. You will be prompted to upgrade

It takes about 30 minutes (backup + os upgrade +restore)

From the previous upgrades I did not encounter any problems.
