Question : Problem: Nortel Passport 50 password reset

How do you reset a password on a Nortel Passport 50?

The switch has been sitting around for years and noone knows the login id/password any more.

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer : Problem: Nortel Passport 50 password reset

You should be able to attach a serial cable to the device and break into the monitor mode on boot.  Then run the config/install batch file that should be in the flash to reconfigure the unit.
