Question : Problem: Recovering Hard drive

I have just been given an 80gb Seagate hard drive and asked if I can recover some data from it,  problem is the drive doesn't even seem to spin and definately isn't bootable.   When powering up the drive makes a clicking noise like it's trying to spin but just can't.  I know it is most likely unrecoverable but I thought it was worth asking.  I don't have any more points to offer though I am afraid but any help would be much appreciated.

I have had some luck tapping the case in the event the shaft lubrication has hardened and it needs the jolt to free the shaft. Others have suggested putting it in the freezer overnight as a possibility.
