Question : Problem: 1 PC w/2 NIC cards cant connect to internet
Here is my setup;
DSL modem to CIsco 5505 to PC
PC is connected to port 1 on firewall. I also have another NIC#2 connected to a cash register for polling data. When both ethernet cables are plugged in my PC cannot get out to the internet via NIC#1. NIC#1 is hard coded with IP and gateway in the 5505 which I know works. NIC#2 is hard coded with another IP/sub/gateway that is completely different than NIC #1.
How do I make my PC use NIC#1 only to gain access through the firewall to the internet?
Thanks for your help!
Answer : Problem: 1 PC w/2 NIC cards cant connect to internet
You can only have one default gateway configured at a time. Take out the default gateway address on the cash register NIC. That will solve your problem.
