Question : Problem: tcpad.exe "Service" is blocking Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Systems from starting

A service "TCP / IP Services" with start file TCPAD.EXE (does not exist on system) is blocking backupexec to run normally. Backup Exec Remote Agent is not starting, because it depend on this service to start. Is there any possible way to remove this dependency from remote agent ? Have search with regedit without finding any way to remove dependency.

It started with the backup exec 10d, then i uninstalled software and everything with it. Restarted server and installed backup exec 12. The same problem was there to.

Any suggestions ?

Have you checked the registry key HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BackupExecAgentAccelerator? There should be a value DependOnService in it. Check this? Remove tcpad.exe if you see it there.
If it's not there, list the values you see there.
