Question : Problem: How do I recover data from corrupted hard disk ?

My hard disk in desktop PC went corrupted, couldn't reboot, Windows 2000 Pro, use Windows CD to repair but it doesn't see the previously installed Windows there, it DOES see the previous patition still there. I have a lot information have to pull out of that disk drive, and a lof of them are in the default  administrator 's profile. Any suggestions of how to recover my data from this drive ( I don't care about the program any more ) will be greately appreciated !!!
