Question : Problem: Noisy ibook g4 fan - fans run constantly at full speed

Dear All - I have just replaced the logic board in my ibook g4 (G4 12" 1064 MHz) running OS X 10.3.4 and following installation I now find that the fan runs at full speed constantly - graphics seem ok and no other problems have been experienced yet.

I think you should use your judgment as to their condition. Sometimes they just destroy themselves at removal because of heat degradation. but if they are intact then why not reuse. Your temp numbers prove they were not kicking off the fan
