Question : Problem: Motherboard compatability with CPU

I have a new Intel D915PCYL motherboard (at least it hasn't been used yet) and need a processor.  I found a used INTEL P4 HT 3.4GHz CPU 650 SL7Z7 that came out of a dell Dell GX620.  The board specs say this processor will work.  Does it matter that the board isn't a dell?

It won't matter if the board isn't a Dell. I use parts out of Dell systems among others when I rebuild machines and haven't experienced any problems yet.
