Question : Problem: cannot find port on cisco 4500

hi i have plug a laptop (with mac adress 0018.8bd0.f5a3). The cable runs from the laptop to a port of my core switch. then on the core switch i do
DALSW02#sh mac-address | incl f5a3
   6    0018.8bd0.f5a3   dynamic ip                     Port-channel1

it doesnt show the port but the port-channel 1

how can i see the exact port ?
is there any way to find the port by IP ?

I know this is going to sound insulting but are you sure that you are plugged directly in the core switch. it look as though the switch is seeing your mac address over a port channel which is a trunk link. meaining you are plugged into a switch that traffic is traveling accross a trunked link
