Question : Problem: How to speed up imaging multiple workstations.

I need to deploy an image to multiple workstations at multiple sites.  Each workstation will have Windows XP SP3, with two 80G hard drives set up with RAID 1 (disk mirroring).  I'm looking for the fastest way to deploy this image to these workstations.

It currently takes about an hour and 45 minutes to image one workstation.  I'm using a portable drive connected to the workstation via USB cable.  My imaging software is Acronis True Image.

Any ideas on how to speed up the process?

Answer : Problem: How to speed up imaging multiple workstations.

Networking/Multicasting has two advantages over USB.

1. It can image multiple computers at one time.
2. It transfers at the speed of the network.

Whereas with USB you can image one computer at the average speed of 40 mb/s with Networking/Multicasting the transfer speeds is that of the network. With a gigabit network that 1 gb/s. Plus you can do multiple machines. I believe Acronis TrueImage does have a Multicasting or Network Imaging solution but I'm unfamiliar with that software.
