Question : Problem: Upgrade my computer

Hi,

I have an old computer which is still working but it's getting rather slower when opening up applications. How can I upgrade my computer to increase its performance. I'm thinking of buying RAM. My existing RAM is 128MB. I do not know what kind of RAM to buy please advise.

128MB is definitely very low for XP ... upgrading to 512MB would give you a very nice boost in performance.   It won't turn your system into a speed demon;  but it will be a major improvement over what you have now :-)

You need low-density PC133 SDRAM modules ... a maximum of 512MB module (double-sided).   A single 512MB module would be an excellent upgrade -- install it with your current module and you'll have 640MB => 5 times what you have now !!

Everything else on the system is just fine for the (clearly) very light use you make of this machine [That assessment is based on how little space you're using on your hard drives].
