Question : Problem: Please HELP me Upgrade my Cowon Q5W from Windows CE 5.0 to Anything Other OS

Does anyone know of a way to upgrade from Windows CE 5.0 to Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 on a Cowon Q5W?  I'm actually willing to go to Linux or Windows XP too, as this is a great PMP, but I need to get rid of this P.O.S. Windows CE 5.0.

Because the OS on the Cowan is embedded the only way to upgrade is to change the firmware. THe firmware is bespoke to Cowan & currently the Korean version is more advanced than the English edition (1.80 vs. 1.51)
The firmware doesn't move away from the CE platform though (although more and enhanced apps are added).
Unless you can find a group of enthusiasts who have coded a new operating ssytem for it you are pretty much stuck with those installations. There are no Linux or other Windows versions available
