Question : Problem: WSUS deploying Framework 3.5

Hi there,

We are planning to deploy Microsoft.Net Framework version 3.5. We normally deploy different fix, patches with WSUS 3.0. At this time, Framework version 3.5. is not published as an update. Do you know if it will every be published on WSUS? If so, any idea as for the the approximate period of time it will be published.

Answer : Problem: WSUS deploying Framework 3.5

According to MSDN tech leads back in May there were no plans by the WSUS group to include 3.5...they gave no reason why. It is very puzzling!
You will probably need to go with an MSI thru GPO approach.
