Question : Problem: serverRaid -6i

Hi

I have an ibm xseries 235 server, also i have 6 scsi hdds (36GB each) , i need to stripe them to make the 6 hdds be a one logical drive. = 216GB . i bought a raid controller serverraid-6i to do the job. i bought it used with no manual. can you help??

Answer : Problem: serverRaid -6i

Download latest RAID manager 9 from ibm.com, login to RAID manager console after installation. Select increase volume for 6th HDD on the RHS disks arrary section.

It may take 4-5 hours to build drive but you can continue to work.
