Question : Problem: FastT Storage Firmware Upgrades

We have been receiving a subsytem error and found we need to upgrade our FastT Storage server's firmware.  If we are currently running version 5.33.07.00 and need to upgrade to version 6.19.24.00, can we go straight to the current version, or do we need to perform prior updates in between?

You probably will have a requirement for the previous firmware version.

On the download webpage for all of IBM's firmware updates there will be a .txt file that should be downloaded.  Open the .txt file and pay special attention to the "dependencies" section.  This is where you'll find your answer.  Go to the page where you can download v6.19.24.00 and you should see this file.

You will also have dependencies on your ESM firmware levels (in EXP500, EXP700, EXP710, EXP810, etc.) and you will have dependencies on your Storage Manager Client version number.  

This file will also have installation instructions for the firmware update.  Follow them exactly and you should be successful.
