Question : Problem: How to remove Dell Dimension 3100 CPU Fan

Hi,

Does anyone know how to remove the cpu fan from the fan shroud assembly as shown in the photo? The cpu fan is secured by four rubbery towers on four corners of the fan shroud.

normally its the rubber plugs that need to be pulled out. u can pry them out with needle nose pliers. that should pop the top off and allow you to remove the fan.
