Question : Problem: Iphone with exchange over edge with active sync
Hey Guys! I recently had a client buy one of the new g3 iphones with active sync and she wants her email hooked up through exchange. The https webmail interface is active and verified working. I sat on the phone with iphone, and At&t tech support for over 2 hours. They basically said that the server may no be compatible with the edge network. After I set up active sync, the phone seems to connect but refuses to sync anything. Plus you can't send or receive any emails. this only happens while outside the domain network and while using the edge network that the phone normally uses. Would this be typical if the cert is not installed??? I think I forgot to do that. this is what I put for the iphone exchage settings.
mail1.domainserver.com
user: ownersname
pass:ownerpass
Should I have actually put:
mail1.domainserver.com /EXCHANGE <
Please Help!!!
Answer : Problem: Iphone with exchange over edge with active sync
You will need to install a certificate for your ActiveSync and OMA.
It should only be your servername like mail.domain.com
