Question : Problem: Files disappear from the recycle bin
Hello, I am working on a computer with Windows Xp Pro SP2 where files disappear from the recycle bin. If there are three files in the recycle bin and you delete two more, one or two of the original files disappear but not all of them. The newly deleted files will show up however, but may be deleted from the bin if you delete other files. I have run both virus and spyware scans but found nothing. It is a HP computer that originally had XP Media edition on it. The problem was happening on that OS also. I thought with a wipe and fresh install the prolem should go away but it didn't. I also checked for software that might be having a problem with XP, but again they are all a fresh install. Anyone have any ideas???

It's possible you have corrupted files in the Recycled folder. This article may help .. scroll to the heading .. >Recycle Bin - Deleting Problems< then read on ... http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_qr.htm
When you reach the heading "Damaged Files in Recycled Folder" you'll see a number of links available. Am investigating these at present ..
