Question : Problem: Setting up dual monitors

Hello,

I have a Dell XPS.

It apparently has an "outlet" for a white, DVI adapter.

I have one monitor with a DVI adapter, and another computer with a blue, VGA adapter.

Given that my PC only has the 1 DVI outlet, how can I connect both monitors to my PC?

Thanks in advance.

Answer : Problem: Setting up dual monitors

if your computer only has one video connector on the back -whether thats a DVI or VGA connector  - then you cannot connect two monitors to it. If your computer has one DVI and one VGA connector at the back and you have two monitors - one with VGA and one with DVI, then all you need to do is to connect the two monitors into each socket on the back of the computer and then download and install the latest software for your graphics adapter. Most adapter software has a wizard that will then talk you through creating multiple displays or extending the desktop on your computer.

If you only have one monitor connector on the back of the computer, then you need to purchase a second graphics adapter and then set it up as above.
