Question : Problem: Possible to Use The LCD of An Inspirion 1100 for an Inspirion 1000

Hi I own A dell inspirion 1000 and I cracked my LCD Screen. The System works with an External monitor Im looking to replace the LCD i took the old one off and saw a good deal on an LCD for an Inspirion 1100 and was wondering if i changed The inverter bored and cable to the one for the 1000 would that work for my project?

If you have the old one removed, you should check the part number on the back of the LCD screen and cross reference it with the 1100 series screen you are looking to get. Not all LCD screen are compatible with each other and not all motherboards support different inverter boards. It requires a bit of digging to find out if they are compatible.
