Question : Problem: How to cancel past due backup/How to become current
Im using Backup Exec 10 on a Windows 2003 Server. I have setup a schedule for Inc backup at 9am, Inc backup at 3pm, and a Full backup at 9pm daily. Before I found out about setting the system to cancel the job automatically if missed (through the Tools menu) I had missed a couple of backups. Now, my 9am backup is one day behind, my 3pm backup is current, and my Full backup at 9pm is a day behind and I cannot catch up.
Today, Thursday, my 9am backup is calling for Wednesdays tape. If I cancel, it does not try to run the 3pm current day backup immediately. Because of this, I can never catch up to the current day for all schedule.
How can I cancel any past backups and bring myself current?
Answer : Problem: How to cancel past due backup/How to become current
Right click and cancel the job. Then Right Click on the 3pm job and select Run Now.
