Question : Problem: Vista Home Premium blue screens when watching TV on Hauppauge PVR-150
|
|
Having trouble with a Hauppauge PVR-150 and Vista Home Premium RTM.... My setup is: Biostar P4800-M7A mobo 768mb RAM Pentium D 840 Proc nVidia GeForce 6200 AGP graphics card (256mb) Hauppauge PVR-150 Standard-def tuner Vboxx Cat's Eye 150 Hi-Def Tuner Realtek '97 Sound on mobo 2 250GB SATA hard drive (no RAID)
It all worked fine under XP Media Center... I created a second partition on one of the drives and installed Vista Home Premium RTM in a dual boot scenario, so I can still run XP Media Center just fine. Everything works fine in Vista except for watching Standard Def TV on the Hauppage. I can watch videos, I can watch Hi-Def TV just fine. Whenever I try to watch standard-def TV on the Hauppauge it works for 5 - 15 seconds and then blue screens with a "Page fault in non paged area". This same tuner works perfectly fine when I boot into XP MCE. I've download the latest Vista driver from Hauppauge but no luck.
Any ideas?

It looks like you're stuck until working Vista drivers come out for the card.
