Question : Problem: I need to slave a SATA HD to an older IDE HD...what do I need?

Why I need to do this is here: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Components/Motherboards/Q_24114276.html

I need someone to tell me what equipment/adapters I need to be able to do this, and if you could add some links to where I could purchase them online that would be wonderful.

Thank-you!

The USB adapter would let you connect the SATA drive to a USB port on your computer, then it would show up as another hard drive to Windows and could be scanned/repaired. Most of the USB to SATA adapters on Newegg also do IDE to SATA too. They're good adapters to have around, and probably will be more useful to you later on than the SATA to IDE adapter that will probably just be used this once.
