Question : Problem: modem drivers???

hiya guys

It's been a while since I posted to this forum but it has always been a good source of info in the past.  thanks to all the guys/gals who have helped previously.

My question is(not sure if it should be in this topic):

I have an old Laptop(Hi-Grade, Notino MI3000 OR might be M13000).  I recently took the pain-staking decision to flatten the machine and have since been unable to use the modem.  The problem is I can't find the correct modem drivers for it to run on any OS (i've tried 95, 98, 98 SE, ME, Win2K).  None of them seems to work properly.  I know the modem works.  I've taken the top off the laptop and have found the letter PCT303W on one of the chips on the modem so i've tried allsorts of 303W chipset drivers but to no avail.

Any help greatly appreciated

Answer : Problem: modem drivers???

I googled that the chip is a pctel. Conexant makes the modems with that chip. Here is a link that will help you: http://www.conexant.com/support/pctel_driverassistance.html
it's an ac-link (ac '97) modem in your notebook. You have to agree to the disclaimer then you can see the drivers on the webpage...
Good luck!!!
