Question : Problem: Cisco not serving DNS servers automatically in DHCP
|
|
Hi, My SonicWall SOHO2 blew up last night, so I had to take it out of the loop and conect my switch to my Cisco 804 directly. So, I had to configure DHCP on the CISCO. Well it went fairly smoothly except that I have to configure my machines explicitly with the DNS server addresses now instead of letting them get the information from the DHCP server.
Yes, I have the DNS server information in the ios properly, just so we can get that question out of the way.
Any ideas?
(NOTE: When I configure the DNS servers into the TCP/IP configuration on my machines, everything works perfectly, so it is only that part of the config that seems to not work.)
Thank you!

"I have the DNS server information in the ios properly"... NOT IP NAMESERVER
no dns-server dns-server address [address2...address8]
