Question : Problem: Image Vista Laptops?

I have several laptops and I need to install and configure a few applications on the laptops. What I would like to do is make a master version of a laptop with all the appropriate software installed etc. Then make an image of that laptop and deploy it to the rest of the laptops.

Laptops have vista business installed.

I would be looking for a step by step or guidance possibly using ghost? I am not sure what version I can get my hands on at this point.

Thanks

Answer : Problem: Image Vista Laptops?

This is very simple procedure with Symantech Ghost. After that you make one OS that is set up as you like it, boot this machine with Ghost. In Ghost, go to Local -> Disk to Image. Save this image to some location like network drive, additional USB hard drive, DVD recorder, etc... Now you have image.

Repeate process on second laptop but choose Local -> Disk from Image. Locate image and wait for system restore.

If laptops will be on same network, then you need to change computer name, because you can't have more than one computer with same name.

Hope this help!
