Question : Problem: Lexmark Optra S and HP JetDirect

I have a Lexmark Optra S 1855 laser printer with a 250 sheet tray #2. It is attached to our network via a HP external  Jet Direct EX Plus. The jetdirect is a bout 5-6 years old. I can print to the printer without any problem, except that  I am not able to pull from tray #2.If I print out the printer config, it says the tray is installed, but in windows it is telling me that there is some kind of conflict when I try to select tray #2. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check on the printer settings (printer itself) to make sure that the paper type is set to the correct type like hdhondt said.

I also suggest checking the tray #2 itself to make sure that everything looks ok (look at the side sensors/buttons to make sure they are not jammed).  Then check inside the printer where tray #2 goes in and see if the sensors in the side are ok also (if they have sensors in there).
