Question : Problem: PC Speaker Volume on new motherboard.

We just installed an ASUS P4C800-E Delux motherboard and now the Beep function ( C ) produces a barely audible sound. This board has integrated sound and apparently doesn't send output directed to the PC speaker to the sound system.

My previous system, with a sound card sent PC speaker output to the card and hence the desktop speakers. Internet search yielded some insight, some boards do some don't send PC speaker to the sound card.

I need the simple Beep windows API function to work. Don't want to modify code for something so simple. Thanks.

Answer : Problem: PC Speaker Volume on new motherboard.

This motherboard will not let you change the "sound Level" on the mothernboard.
