Question : Problem: I have a new PX502 library with an LTO3 drive and any new media gets labeled as cleaning media.

I have switched the scsi ids and actually got some of my tapes to show up correctly but the last 14 tapes always come up as cleaning media. I have tried long erasing them wich didn't help. I also go in and manually try and relable them but they come up as cleaning media as soon as I either inventory them or try to erase them.

I had the same problem and spent 2 weeks on th issue. Eventually went to Quantum Labs to do some test. The only way you will get it working on the PX502 with veritas is if you change the emulation to p2000. All the cartridges that were labeled as cleaning went to unknown media, i relabeled them and all was ok.
