Question : Problem: Computer not shutting down properly.
Hi
Haven't a clue if this is hardware related or software.
My problem is when I go to shut down the computer at end of day or whatever. After going through the xp shutdown procedure, the computer does not shut down. Instead I get a screen saying it is safe to shut down your computer. So I have to press the button on the front of the box. Then When I come to try to start it again the screen locks up on the windows logo. I have tried using the repair facility on the win xp disk and this gets everything up and running. The computer works ok it will even reboot after installing a program. But not a full reboot.
