Question : Problem: CA Arcserve 11.5 how to change log file directory
|
|
hi
Windows 2003 server running CA Brightstor Arcserve 11.5 I had to trim down days of logging. Log and database directories get over 2-3gb every couple weeks. Not huge but the C drive is only 11gb. No i did not set this up, I inherited it. Anyone know of a way to change the log and database default directories?
thanks

I'm guessing the default VLDB database is being used.
In which case the answer is no way to move it except reinstalling ARCserve to a different location. http://supportconnect.ca.com/sc/kb/techdetail.jsp?searchID=TEC405777&docid=405777&bypass=yes&fromscreen=kbresults tec doc Title: How to Move ARCserve VLDB Database to a different drive (or) location?
It is not much of a big deal. Install ARCserve to the new drive and then copy over the database, log, and 00000001.qsd directories and the new install will use the old database logs and queue from the original installation.
