Question : Problem: Mac Novice wanting to change HDD on a Powerbook.

From a PC user trying to come to terms with a G4 Powerbook:

I can change the hard drive and re-install the OS on a Windows laptop with my eyes shut. Is it as straightforward on a Powerbook and is it just a standard 2.5inch IDE drive?

It is pretty straightforward .. 2.5 inch drive .. but you need to also check that the height of the drive is within tolerances too.
